Covid Isolation Home Learning
If your child is isolating because:
- they have a confirmed COVID diagnosis
- someone in your household has a confirmed COVID diagnosis or
- your child has been sent home to isolate due to a case in their school bubble,
your child’s home learning work can be found on their Google Classroom account. They need to log in to this as they would in school, or for their homework and there will be lessons uploaded according to their timetable.
Work will appear in time for their scheduled lesson so don't panic if it isn't there first thing in the morning. Some work will be uploaded at the start of the week for subjects such as PE and Tech but pupils only need to complete the lessons on the day which their lesson falls.
All work will be acknowledged with either a mark out of ten or a comment / development point.
If we have periods of lockdown where schools are closed, we will contact you with details for how we will provide home learning as this will likely involve live lessons in some areas.
Your child should also have a reading book, linked to our Accelerated Reader scheme, which they can continue with. When they finish a book they can do the associated quiz by following the provided link and logging in to their account as they do at school. They can also access their Tassomai account (KS3 only) and complete Quizzes for English, Maths and Science daily, trying to reach and better their ‘Daily Goal.’
If you have any issues with computer access at home, please email your child’s tutor or Head of Year and we will make contact with you to try and overcome any issues.
