Covid Isolation Home Learning
If your child is isolating because:
- they have a confirmed COVID diagnosis
- someone in your household has a confirmed COVID diagnosis or
- your child has been sent home to isolate due to a case in their school bubble,
your child’s home learning work can be found on their Google Classroom account. They need to log in to this as they would in school, or for their homework and there will be a folder called ‘Covid Isolation work.’
Work is organised by subject and there is sufficient to cover 2 weeks of lessons. Start with Isolation Work 1 for their first two week period of isolation. If your child has to isolate for further periods of time, move to Isolation Work 2 then 3 in order.
If we have periods of lockdown where schools are closed, we will contact you with details for how we will provide home learning.
If your child requires addition work, use the links on the right 'Additional Home Learning Resources', for suggestions of things they could do. They should also have a reading book, linked to our Accelerated Reader scheme, which they can continue with. When they finish a book they can do the associated quiz by following the provided link and logging in to their account as they do at school. They can also access their Tassomai account and complete Quizzes for English, Maths and Science daily, trying to reach and better their ‘Daily Goal.’
For families who are self-isolating we have provided a range of resources to enable your child to access learning resources. In the event of closure, children will be able to follow a curriculum which will be delivered through google classroom and include some live lessons delivered by their subject teacher.
If you have any issues with computer access at home, please email your child’s tutor or Head of Year and we will make contact with you to try and overcome any issues.
