Supporting your child's mental health workshop

Thank you to all parents who attended the workshop on 22/02/2021. It was lovely to see so many parents there and hope that this session helped remind you off the wonderful things you already know and do as well as provide you with a few new tools to add to your parenting toolkit.

Parenting Autism - tips and tricks to reducing anxieties and joining your autistic child in their world workshop - Thursday 4th March 4pm-5pm. Led by Mrs Steckiewicz.

What is Autism?

Behaviour as a communication - what is your child telling you.

Practical tips to reduce anxiety, meltdowns or challenging behaviours - use of planning, visual representations, sensory breaks, limited verbal interactions, sensory issues and validating experiences. 


Sign posting to in school support and external agency support.

Dyslexia - how your child is supported at Allenbourn

Thursday 25th March 4pm-5pm. Led by Mrs Steckiewicz.

Dyslexic friendly classroom.

Graduated response of support at AMS.

Home learning supports.

SEND Coffee mornings for parents of SEND children.

Mrs Steckiewicz (Inclusion lead) to lead open discussion about school support, parenting strategies, sign posting, and external agency supports.
Every three weeks on Wednesday morning at 10am starting on the 24th Feb.
